## How it works

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the rotation lossless?

We re-encode the output, so it's not bit-exact lossless, but at quality 90 the visible difference from a perfect lossless rotation is imperceptible.

### Can I rotate by a custom angle?

Right now we support 90, 180, and 270 degrees plus horizontal and vertical flip. These cover the vast majority of real-world rotation needs.

### Will it auto-correct EXIF orientation?

Yes. We read the EXIF orientation tag on JPGs so the source image is upright before you rotate, then we re-encode without a stale EXIF orientation.

### Does it work on PNG and WebP too?

Yes. JPG, PNG, and WebP are all supported with the same rotate and flip options.
